Early Childhood Education Program (ECEP)

The  Early Childhood Education Program (ECEP) is offered by the First Presbyterian Church as a ministry to the community by offering a curriculum designed to create a total kindergarten experience for our students. It allows children to develop individually while taking part in a positive environment – spiritually, socially, physically and academically.

ECEP operates from 7:45 am – 5:30 pm each morning during the school year.
Our ECEP recently received the DSS license (# 23405), allowing us to add our “Afternoon Adventures” program to operate a full-day childcare facility. Childcare will be available from 7:45 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

We believe that each child is a unique gift from God and a sacred trust. We seek to offer a loving, Christian environment in which your son or daughter may thrive, grow and prepare for first grade. Our teachers are not only outstanding educators but they also model the Christian faith in their words and deeds inside and outside the classroom.
In our ECEP, each child is met at his/her level and is helped to become a cooperative member of a group. The child will develop and expand in the following areas:

• Self-Worth
• Expanding curiosity
• Value and respect for the environment
• Seeing patterns and relationships
• Expressing and representing thoughts and feelings
• Ability to make decisions
• Appropriate thinking process
• Living in harmony with others
• Large and small muscle development
In addition to the above, the ECEP will guide each child toward forming concepts of healthy Christian living.
An up to date playground is available for the students and provides a wonderful setting for fun and fellowship.
