Music Program

Chancel ChoirOur regular rehearsals (Chancel Choir) resumed Wednesday evening, August 13, at 6:00 p.m.  After the suppers begin (September 10), we will rehearse at 6:30 p.m.  New members are welcome; please be in touch with Anna Hill if you are interested in being a part of the choir.  We would love to have you.  There is a spot for anyone who wants to join.  You can call Anna at the church (332-3622) or email her at awh54@aol.com or just show up for rehearsal.

Chancel RingersOur rehearsals will resume at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14.  This bell choir is currently full but if you are an interested ringer and available to sub, please be in touch ASAP.

Celebration RingersOur rehearsals will resume Tuesday, September 2, at 8:30 a.m.  This choir is also full.

ChoristersOur Christmas musical this year is entitled Room for Christmas.  I hope all 1st-5th graders will join us for this festive and traditional event which follows our annual congregational Christmas dinner.  Our rehearsals will be held on Wednesday afternoons beginning September 10th.  We will rehearse from 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.

Cherub ChoirOur rehearsals will resume on Sunday, September 14, and choir is open to children presently enrolled in 3K, 4K, or 5K using the same FPC Kindergarten age requirements.  Rehearsals will be held on Sundays from 5:00p.m. – 5:30 p.m.  Ronda McElveen is the director.

Genesis RingersThis group, open to 4th – 8th graders, will explore hand chime ringing which will later serve to secure a spot in the Youth Handbell Choir.  We will meet on Wednesday afternoons from 5:15 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.   These events begin Sunday, September 10.

Youth HandbellsThis group is open to 8th-12th graders who have had earlier experience ringing bells.  They will rehearse from 4:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. beginning September 14.

Youth ChoirOur rehearsals will resume on Sunday, September 14, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  This group is open to 6th – 12th graders.  In addition to singing for worship, the Youth Choir supports the Choristers to prepare the Christmas Play.
