Jennifer Schock

Interim Director of Youth Ministry

My name is Jennifer Schock. I have been a member of FPC twice now. In the years leading to this current involvement, it has become incredibly important for me to serve.

I received a BS degree from Pennsylvania State University and earned an MA from Goucher College, Baltimore MD.

Most of my career was spent working with youth. As a Movement/Creative Arts Therapist at a psychiatric facility in Charleston SC, Adjunct Professor in the Dance Department of Coker University, Dean of Students and teacher at Trinity Collegiate School, and instructor of Literature, art, and P.E. at Thomas Hart Academy.

My husband Michael and I moved numerous times since 2016 and there were always volunteer opportunities for me. Sunday School teacher, VBS, Soup Kitchen, Angel Tree, Christmas Food Baskets, Trent Hill Center, and Pastor's Aide.

I taught dance during the interim session at GSSM, helped with "Artsville", and Dancing With The Stars Of Darlington County. There were service projects in other towns. The Edisto Art Guild and feeding those in need. I participated as a board member at the Liberty Theatre and did volunteer work at "The Depot" Museum in Dayton WA.

I enjoy choreographing liturgical pieces for our Church. It is a wonderful way for me to express the beauty of words that praise God.

Michael and I have two sons and are very happy to be back in the area.
