Habitat Work Day 9-22-2012

On September 22, FPC's Service Committee embarked on a project to complete a Habitat for Humanity home under construction at 1217 Myrtle St in Hartsville.  Other crews did the framing, roofing, windows and painting the walls.  FPC committed to complete the house by doing the installation of trim, doors, cabinets, appliances and the yard.  On the 22nd, FPC started the installation of the trim.  It was a fun day.  We worked with the person designated to become the homeowner.  Her son and two another potential homeowner also worked with us.  Applicants are required to work a certain number of hours as part of the process to become a Habitat homeowner.  These hours are called "sweat equity".  Here are some photos of the work day.
